1959  : Started practicing watercolor painting (self-taught);
1962  : Awarded 3rd prize by the Singapore Inter-School Art Competion;
1967  : Participated in the Six Artists Exhibition jointly organized by the China Society and
            the Society of the Chinese Artists, Singapore;
1969  : Partcipated in the Six Artists Exhibition, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia;
1970  : Founder member of the Singapore Watercolour Society;
1982  : Member of the Society of the Chinese Artists, Singapore;
1987  : Awarded merit prize by the campaign "Clean River, Singapore” art competition;
1987  : Participated in 4th Shell Discovery Art Exhibition, Singapore;
1987  : Art Instructor of the Singapore Kiung Chow Hwee Kuan;
1989  : Art instructor of the Thomson Community Centre;
1989  : Awarded the first prize by the Sentosa Art competition, Singapore;
1990  : Executive committee member of the Society of the Chinese Artists and
